Acclaim Environmental is an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved Asbestos Training Provider and a Colorado Department of Public Health And Environment, Air Pollution Control Division (CDPHE-APCD), Approved Asbestos Training Provider.
Acclaim Environmental asbestos training is provided in accordance with the EPA Model Accreditation Plan, the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) and the requirements as mandated under Section 206 of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and requirements of State of Colorado Regulation No. 8, as applicable.
Acclaim Environmental training Instructors provide valuable insight, information, application and integration of best practices of operations during training sessions, challenge students to understand regulatory requirements, and to demonstrate safe compliance with a potential asbestos hazard or challenge that they may face in the workplace.
Asbestos Building Inspector
Asbestos Building Inspector (Initial)

This initial course was developed by EPA in response to requirements of the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) regulations. The course is intended for EPA accreditation of asbestos building inspectors, and preparation for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) certification examination. The initial course is 3 days (24 hours) and requires an annual refresher course of 4 hours to maintain accreditation and CDPHE certification.
Federal regulations mandate asbestos inspections in all areas of structures that will be impacted by renovation or demolition. These inspections must be performed by an accredited asbestos building inspector, even in commercial and industrial facilities. In addition, K-12 schools must use accredited asbestos building inspectors to conduct initial inspections, and the required re-inspection of those buildings.

Asbestos Management Planner

This initial course was developed by EPA in response to requirements of the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) regulations. The course is intended for EPA accreditation of asbestos management planners, and preparation for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) certification examination. The initial course is 2 days (16 hours) and pre-requisite of successful completion of the Asbestos Building Inspector course. The Management Planner course requires an annual refresher course of 4 hours to maintain accreditation and CDPHE certification.
The Asbestos Management Planner course prepares management planners to develop written plans for managing asbestos-containing materials in schools and for making recommendations to school officials for response actions.

The course is intended for EPA accreditation of the asbestos contractor/supervisor, and preparation for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) certification examination. The initial course is 5 days (40 hours) and requires an annual refresher course of 8 hours to maintain accreditation and CDPHE certification.
The EPA Contractor/Supervisor course is intended for supervisors of asbestos abatement projects who perform response actions. It covers in detail asbestos abatement work practices and engineering controls, abatement procedures, personal protection, and relevant Federal regulations that a contractor must consider before beginning to supervise abatement work. Along with other safety and health topics, the course presents information on insurance, bonding, and contract/construction specifications.

The Colorado Air Monitoring Specialist (AMS) Refresher course presents a review of the major aspects of the initial AMS training curriculum, and presents the most current information on industry regulations and practices affecting the Colorado Air Monitoring Specialist discipline. The course is required for re-certification of the Colorado Air Monitoring Specialist, and preparation for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) certification examination.
The Acclaim Environmental AMS refresher course presents information of new technologies, applicable industrial hygiene practices, regulatory requirements and changes, and other relevant changes in the discipline. The AMS refresher course will present the student with mathematic challenge sets relevant to the discipline. Students are encouraged to bring a calculator for this review.
The Colorado AMS Refresher course consists of 4 hours, and is required annually to maintain CDPHE certification.

The asbestos Operations and Maintenance training program will meet the requirements of the EPA Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) General Industry Asbestos Standard, and the OSHA Construction Asbestos Standard.
For the course, Acclaim Environmental uses the EPA Model Curriculum for Training Operation and Maintenance personnel Under AHERA Model Accreditation Plan (MAP), which is provided to each student.
